For stays that are less than 5 days we recommend waiting for our nominations to open for our free ‘… for you’ Brave boxes for that Parent Carer.

The items we place inside these boxes are designed to make life that little easier for the parent whilst in the hospital. It includes a small treat so they know they’re being thought of in hard times. Postage could take up to 5 days to receive so we don’t recommend them for shorter stays.

There are no restrictions on how many times a year a person can receive a Hospital Brave Box. We do, however, limit it to one box per parent, per month for long term hospital stays. 

Yes they can be. These boxes are specifically for parent carers whose child has been admitted into hospital for a longer length of time due to their complex medical need and therefore that parent is staying at the hospital with them. They are designed to support parent carers on the ward offering both essentials and small treats, providing a self care opportunity. 

These boxes can only be sent directly to the hospital ward. The person who is nominating a Parent Carer to receive a Hospital Brave Box will need to check with the hospital that post can be accepted onto the ward.  It will be the nominees responsibility to obtain the hospital address. 

Both parent and child will need to be in the hospital when they are nominated to receive a Hospital Brave Box.
